CEO SimHealth Group, Professor Emeritus Oregon Health & Sciences University, Board Member Salem Health
Bonnie Driggers, R.N., M.S., M.P.A., Professor Emeritus at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). Bonnie served as the Director of Clinical Teaching Systems and Programs for the OHSU School of Nursing and was the Co-Director of the OHSU Simulation and Clinical Learning Center for several years. In these roles she worked in partnership with the Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education (OCNE), OHSU and other health systems and educational programs to design interdisciplinary clinical learning opportunities utilizing simulation as an adjunct to clinical experiences that support the competencies required for healthcare practitioners. As Co-Director of the OCNE Clinical Education Model Project she focused on the redesign of clinical education in nursing for the consortium. The model includes the use of simulation as one of several clinical learning activities.
Ms. Driggers was a founding member and past chair of the Oregon Simulation Alliance, a statewide network of simulation facilities. She served on the Governing Council of the Alliance for many years. Along with Dr. Michael Seropian she co-authored the "Oregon Simulation Readiness Report" which presented a comprehensive look at desire and readiness for simulation education in Oregon.
Currently, in partnership with Dr Michael Seropian, Ms. Driggers provides simulation education and consultation in the areas of simulation education, program development, implementation and facility design. In addition, she has co-authored many publications related to simulation, presented multiple keynote addresses nationally and internationally, and is a regular presenter at simulation conferences. She served as the Co-Chair the IMSH meeting in 2011. Currently Ms. Driggers serves as a leader on international simulation committees and Boards.
